Guest guest
Hi Vivian, My last messages did not post on the chat. Yes I too grieve for the lost family life, and the hopes and dreams I had. But as long as my son can be a productive adult, maybe even self-supporting, and enjoy a quality of life, then I have done my job well. Geez, it's funny how your ideas change. That is my goal for my son. Hugs to you. in NJ Hi Ellen, I have to catch up reading my e-mail this week. I did see you say your daughter might be hospitalized. Is this the first time? What are the goals of this hospitalization? You are free to write me off line at lippoliti@... We had 3 hospitalizations, l residential, l hospitalization and I was reported to childrens services when I took my son to the ER last year to get something to calm him down, and they wanted to admit him. But a doctor (psychiatrist) would not come in to evaluate him and I didn't think that was in his best interest at the time, so I signed him out of the ER against medical advice, and got reported. I explained to them that the people in the ER were not qualified to admit my son without a doctor's evaluation. So we were visited by the state children's services several times. It is a crime. I should (as well as most parents who have special needs kids) get Mother of the year, and children's services should be investigating neglected and abused kids. In my nursing practice, I have seen alot of problems but for some reason these kids did not get visits, and they needed help. I don't understand the state most days. I hope you have a better 2001. I'll keep you in our prayers. Hugs to you. in NJ
