Guest guest Posted April 1, 2005 Report Share Posted April 1, 2005 Tom, While I have no blood-relation siblings, neither parent or anyone else related in the family, now and previous generations, has anything like CMT. I have traced the family tree as far back as 1720 on all sides - feel like I'm on a boat coming to America! lol But from the records I have, and have found, researched, plus oral histories, no CMT. CMT can happen spontaneously. Where there is intermarriage, there is recessive CMT. Some of the Type 4's are recessive and are ethnically rooted.
