Guest guest
I was wondering how those of you who have the Yoga Booty Ballet classify them. I haven’t tried them all yet (yes virgin workouts) but I did the Cardio Cabaret and I say that is light cardio – I use the category dance aerobics for that. Are most of them a light cardio type? I have the Lives and the original set. I plan on sticking them in my summer routine and I just don’t have time right now to preview them all. It seems like the website sort of classifies them as cardio sculpt. Which isn’t a category I use very often and only then if weights are involved. Does it really matter? Well I guess not unless I classify them as cardio and there is no cardio involved. LOL Any thoughts? -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Hi ! I'd definately say that the " LIVE " set is mostly light cardio, with the exception of the body sculpting workout which I would say is " light " sculpting. The original set has more toning. For me the original set is more useful and versatile. I've been thinking about parting with some or all of my LIVEs for a while now. I like the ones I've done, I'm just not sure I need more of that type of workout in my collection - I have quite a few dancey-light aerobics workouts already. Still, I like the fun factor and the interaction between the two leads....and I have this thing about having complete sets of things.... Maybe I'll hold on to them for now and think about selling/trading them down the line if and when I quit my job (which I'm still thinking seriously about!) to be a SAHM - my disposable income will certainly be greatly reduced and I may need to sell/trade these to get some things that will inevitably pop up on my radar/wish list. take care!! Guest guest
After trying a few more, I’m setting them as very light cardio but they have their place in my routine. When the kids are in school I like to lift and do a light cardio tape as a sort of cooldown in the morning. And I save my harder cardio for the evening. My ideal morning workout starts with yoga, then weight lifting then light cardio. My ideal evening workout is heavy cardio followed by yoga. I do think all the YBB tapes have a fun factor that eliminates the dread factor. It seems more like working out with a fun buddy then actually working out. And even though I will most likely never be as flexible as the ladies on the tape, I don’t feel stupid or slow or clumsy when I am doing a move I can’t do well. Instead I get the same feeling I do when I am shopping with a good friend trying on outfits that don’t quite look good on me. I just sort of laugh and try again. I guess they (especially the Lives) don’t do much to improve my condition but they are great as attitude boosters. Guest guest
I have the first two set of this but I've only done one of them...Hmmm maybe I should mix them in with CLX for a nice stretch...? JenFrom: Kassia <ldy_solana@...>Subject: yoga booty ballet Date: Friday, August 14, 2009, 10:42 AM morning allhad a stupid work meeting yesterday so i only got in some gold's gym cardio on the wii and stretch on my own. this morning i tried yoga booty ballet-basics. this is from the first set they put out. this is a very nice fusion of ballet type standing moves, more traditional ab work with a ball and a unique cardio type moves with weight and combination movements as well as yoga stretching/salutati ons as well as beginning and ending meditations all in about 45 min while leaving me worked out while i was extremely tired.didn't sleep well and this was a great workout for me this morning. i like the instructors( can't recall names at the current moment one is teigh mcdonough) they take turns leading each section and sometimes do voice overs other times on live cueing. the didn't mirror cueing in some spots but rather easy to follow. there was anything dancy in this workout other then hip shaking so it was a great start to get a feel. i feel worked a bit but also feel very stretched out and loosened up. i do plan on getting more but i guess i should try the others i got in the trade too LOL. kassia Special Needs Scouting ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ __
