Weird, out of 9 posts today, I got six, finally wrote to e-groups to see if they could figure out why I'm not getting all my mail-- checked on the site, and missed one of Louis', one of 's, and both of Jules. Guest guest Posted November 28, 2001 Report Share Posted November 28, 2001 Jule, When you started your son with the listening program did you have an adjustment period to begin with? I ask because I took to his first light and sound session today and his anxiety appeared to be notably increased afterward. I wasn't really expecting that although the therapist said it is common for it to wear a kid out because she said it is like physical therapy for the brain so maybe he is just feeling overstimulated and tired. I refuse to pass any judgment on the therapy until he has done at least 6 sessions, but my initial reaction is YIKES! I sent a note with him to school to see if his teacher notices what I did (I tried not to bias her by just asking if she saw any improvement or worsening or nothing at all). You sounded very positive about the listening program but I was curious to hear what your initial impressions where. Thanks.
