Misty...have waited to see if anyone would answer " why " one would put an

oil in bath salts--no answer, so I can only tell you why I put a small

amount of Glycerin in my bath salts..... while a bath salt is nice an

refreshing an a good scrubber...it is/can be very hard an drying on the

skin....an I have " mature " skin....LOL!---so I add a SMALL amount of

Glycerin to conteract the harshness a little.....I mix a small amount in

the ever handy zip lock bag along with a small amount of the salt--then

re-enterduce to the larger batch and stir/mix.... then let it " dry' out

for a couple of days before packaging it.....so far it has worked very

well for me---an I have some bath salt that is 6 months old an still no

lumps, no stickyness....this is of corse just MHO

Charlie!

Thanks Charlie for the tip---it certainly makes sense. so add the

glycerin and then add it back to the rest of the salts and keep it in

the zip lock for a couple days~is that right? I want to make sure before

doing it with glycerin. Thanks a millions :-) Misty
