Hi Carolyn,

I would like to see your daily fitness journal. I have a binder I write down all my workouts in and then I have my total hours that I worked out for the month.

I'm doing "look great in eight" rotation, but I have added my own stuff to it too.

The camping sounds fun. We've talked about doing it, but have yet to do it. We never go anywhere or do anything. We are in such a rutt.

Here is the circuit that I'm going to try to follow. It is the look great in eight rotation with my own stuff added in.

week 1- Circuit

Sun- time crunch/ floor work from abs, hips & thighs

Mon- AM- back, yoga PM- The Gauntlet

Tues- AM- chest & abs PM- yoga

Wed- AM- biceps, triceps PM- The Viper

Thurs- AM-shoulders,abs & yoga PM- 45 mins. cardio 65%-70%

Fri- the firm tough cardio mix

Week 2- Heavy

Sun- back, triceps PM- 25 mins. cardio

Mon- Quads & abs PM- yoga

Tue- chest & triceps PM- yoga

Wed- Yoga PM- 30 mins. cardio

Thru- hamstrings & delts PM- interval cardio

Fri- 45 min. cardio

Week 3- High Reps

Sun- back, triceps PM- 40 mins. cardio

Mon- quads, hamstrings, delts, short yoga PM- 35 mins cardio

Tue- chest, biceps, abs, short yoga PM- 30mins interval cardio

Wed- quads, hamstrings, delts PM- 35 mins. cardio

Thru- back and triceps, chest, biceps PM- yoga

Fri- 35 mins. cardio

Week 4- Super sets

Sun-quads, hams,abs

Mon- biceps, triceps PM-35 mins. cardio

Tue- yoga, abs PM- 45 mins. cardio

Wed- yoga PM- 30 min. interval cardio & flexibility

Thru-back, chest,delts, abs PM- 25 mins cardio

Fri- 30 mins cardio

I'll join you! It's still high 90s here but surely I can stand to do something every day. I've had the same inconsistency problem due to the heat and not wanting to drown in sweat by doing workouts in the hot house or the hot outdoors. LOL Yesterday I took my dog for a very leisurely walk (for HIS sake, more than mine) but I figured that was better than nothing. I'm back at work today so I'm spending all day in far-too-cold air conditioning and maybe if I work out as soon as I get home, when the heat is comfortable instead of oppressive while I'm warming back up, I can manage something more strenuous.

(note that when i take the family camping, then i consider that to be 2 workouts! packing up, loading the truck, unloading and unpacking/setting up the tent/air mattresses, etc around the campsite, then doing it all over again to come home the next day.... this can be quite strenuous as i normally let my dh sit around while i do all of this stuff -- we will be camping at least one weekend this month).also i have a new daily fitness journal page that i designed for use each day... if anyone is interested, i will post it to the files section of this group. Hi!

I'd like to join in, except at the end of August,

we're on vacation again so I'm sure I'll fall off the

wagon, but I'll keep up until then!! July was a slow

month for me exercise-wise, too and although I'm doing

more workouts now, I'm struggling to convince myself

to do them.

And, Carolyn - I'd love to see your fitness page I've

been wanting to find something for me but I haven't

been very successful. S ounds like you had the right

idea by creating your own!

I've missed posting more, I've just been SOOOO busy

with summer activties, work and etc.

I have thought about my plans for August...

Run: 4 Days a week

Upper Body: 2 a week

Lower Body: 2 a week

Circuit workout: 1 time

Yoga, pilates, abs, or stretching: 4 days

That sounds great, Stacey! I don't run, but I can see

following this using my cardio tapes 4 days per week

with strength and circuits mixed in.

Since we're all talking about our August plans, here's mine. I'm

turning up the intensity on my taekwondo training because I am testing

for my 3rd degree black belt on October 1. However, I'm going on

vacation August 6-13. Unlike previous vacations, though, I will be

taking my bicycle along this year so that at least I get some exercise

and I'm not totally out of shape when I get back. (I figure a daily

bike ride to Starbucks sounds like a fair trade, right?)

Then when I get back it's going to be six days a week of working out

and six days of healthy eating (although I might make one exception

right after we get back because I'll have a bachelor weekend in

there). Then from mid-August through the end of September I plan to

do my usual workouts plus as many taekwondo classes and individual

training as I can do. Less than two months until the big day!

its up to you jen! walking around alot is a great way to get

exercise while on vacation!

exactly... set a goal of x minutes and then go for it! also modify

the exercises to suit yourself.
