Guest guest
Hi Dave I am not writing to give you an answer, but to support what you are saying. I see an overabundance of 'variation' in programmes with little or no justification. I was even at the NSCA conference in Vancouver last year when a speaker cited 'variation' as the only reason to manipulate tempo. I do feel we need to be more precise as to why we make and suggest such manipulations of the training variables Nick Ward Durham, UK Dave Reddin wrote: > I have seen a lot of strength / power programmes which use seemingly > extremely complicated manipulations of volume and intensity for core lifts > within sessions, micro and meso cycles. > > Does anyone have any views (or evidence) on these and whether they are more > effective than more simple systems of e.g. heavy, medium and light days for > various lifts.
