Guest guest
Does any have/Has anyone read, " Biomechanics in Sport: Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention " edited by Zatsiorsky? If so, I'd appreciate your comments and feedback. I was considering purchasing it. The price, however, of $125 is fairly steep. Was wondering how accessible it is to someone who is not a biomechanics " freak " or guru? [The price is high, but the content is encyclopaedic and technically expansive. I was one of the contributing authors (my chapter was on the biomechanics of strength and power) and received one copy for my efforts (thank goodness!), so I have had the chance to read through this book. My fellow authors are among the most erudite biomechanists in the world and offer some unique insights into sport biomechanics. It is not a book for casual reading and it does not aim to offer any training programs, but if you need an authoritative reference work, then you will not regret owning it.
