Guest guest
I am interested to see how other programs deal with the cost for nutrition visits. My program currently charges $50 for each nutrition visit. So if they require 3 or 6 months SWL these are the cost of each visit. I also do a separate class from that. Many patients complain about the cost of the visit, saying they can't afford it. I wanted to see what other programs do and if they charge no fee how do they justify that and does it effect the RD's salary or need at the program? If you are working in the MD, VA, DC area I would be very interested in what your program does. I want patients to see the importance of nutrition but at the same time I want them to have access to our services and maybe I could use these responses as justification of maybe a change in policy/procedure. Any responses are very appreciated. Britni Sullivan, RD, LD
