It won't prevent the abuse, I know......

And of course you have the right to state your opinion without being flamed!

I think it is the parents' right to decide for their child, not the

gov't's., but I don't mind the gov't. coming in and saying abortion is wrong,

because that to me IS murder and NOT a woman's CHOICE, but that's another

topic!

Leah, you know the girl I'm talking about....my neighbor across the

street......it would be futile for her mother to ever think she would meet

someone and get married, etc., etc.....her case is very severe and the girl

most profoundly retarded. In that case, I think the parents made an

excellent choice for their daughter......of course, it won't prevent the

abuse from happening anyway, but at least it would alleviate the trauma of

going through a pregnancy and not understanding what is happening to her body.

That's all, I'm off the soap box.....burping too many bubbles.....

  • 10 years later...

I have a patient you has had the lap band for 5 years now and lost over 100#,

however she just had a hysterectomy and states that her weight is all over the

place now and has gained 15# back on and is worried. Could the hysterectomy be

causing this or should I bring her in for a one on one to go over the basics

again? Thanks for the help!
