Guest guest
Does Zinc also help with oral issues such as licking everything? Re: Zinc Hi Geri, I must have missed the first message(s). Guest guest
It might, because licking and pica can be signs of mineral deficiency, and zinc is a common one, especially in ASD kids. Guest guest
Zinc gives some folks nausea on empty tummy, Sam seems OK but my NT kids hate it because I first gave it them away from a meal. So if your child cannot tell or show you he feels bad I would give it with food Mandi x In a message dated 05/10/2010 10:29:39 GMT Daylight Time, swerenowski@... writes: Hi everyone, could someone tell me if zinc should be given with food or on an empty stomach. Guest guest
We have instant nausea with zinc if taken on an empty stomach and if it contains citrates.. The best zinc we have found that is tolerated has been metabolics ionic Zinc which someone on the group recommended. Someone also mentioned that the nausea with zinc could indicate parasite issues.. Guest guest
don't take zinc on empty stomach or it'll come straight back up! i find i can't sleep if i take it at night, although my homeopath suggests thats the best time to take it, i have to take mine after a good breakfast. so for that reason, i give it to my son after breakfast too, karenza > > Hi everyone, could someone tell me if zinc should be given with food or on an empty stomach. Guest guest
I am hoping someone can give me some advice for a patient with a low zinc level. Do you give copper as well since high levels of zinc can deplete copper? The ASMBS “White Paper” recommends 60 mg orally twice daily of zinc but I don’t want to deplete her copper level in doing this. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Guest guest
Hi Missy, I went to a seminar last year and Margaret Furtado recommended for every 15 mg Zc, 2mg Cu, not to exceed 8 mg Cu qd. Margaret, are you out there? Did I write that down correctly :-) Diane Vecchi, MS, RD > > I am hoping someone can give me some advice for a patient with a low > zinc level.
