Guest guest
One of our NPs just returned from a conference where someone spoke about injectable Vitamin D. Has anyone used it in their practice? If so, any comments?
Guest guest
We use a 600,000 IU injection in our office. We just started using it about 1 month ago, so we don’t have data available yet. The indication for use is when a pt’s vitamin D level is less than 15 or they have not responded to a treatment of 50,000 IU orally three times per week for 3 months. We have a local pharmacy compound it for us. Krystal Krystal Cameron, RD, LDN Registered Dietitian New Life Center for Bariatric Surgery 200 Ft. Guest guest
Does your NP have the author or name of the article where the data for this has come from? Our NP is interested in knowing the research behind the injectables. Thanks > > One of our NPs just returned from a conference where someone spoke about injectable Vitamin D.
