Guest guest
This product advertises a PDCAS = 100%, but when the IAA was posted online at Bariatric Advantage, I checked it. It came out closer to 45%- 50%. I received an email from a protein supplement competitor who reported that they sent samples of Gelatein 20 to an independent lab for analysis. Their results showed PDCAAS of 39-43%. In other words the label reports 20 gm protein, but only 8-10 gm are complete protein.I didn't care for the taste. It is a poor quality protein source and I would not recommend it. It says it has a PDCAAS of 100. It uses collagen, whey, and casein. Just curious if anyone knows anything about it! Thanks

Guest guest
I've also tried gelatein and didn't like the taste. I'm recommending ProSource no carb for my patients since it's one of the better tasting clear liquid supplements. It is collagen and whey based so it's not the best in term of high quality protein. But it's better than the patient not getting anything at all since the doctors here require 2 weeks of clear liquids (which I'm working on changing). Previously I was recommending Isopure until I found out a lot of people were returning it due to taste. Guest guest
I've made hi-pro gelatin using the instructions on the Unjury website (used Beneprotein, though, as that was formulary in the facility I worked in.) It didn't taste bad, just a little softer set than normal. -- Kristie
Guest guest
I have a patient who has to have gluten, soy, whey, egg whites, iodine free protein supplements d/t severe eczema. She is going to have Lap Gastric Bypass soon. Do you have any suggestions on the protein supplements? Thank you in advance for your input.
