Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I am fairly new to the group and also somewhat new to the Lap Band arena. I am a clinical dietitian in Corpus Christi, TX and lead a pre/post op lap band class twice monthly and also a support group once monthly. I have an interesting pt that has been coming to support group. She has continually had abdominal pain right below her rib cage since surgery. It seems to be in the muscle but yet she denies doing any crunches or other activities that may have strained these muscles. She is very frustrated by this and the surgeon who performed her surgery has not been able to pinpoint the cause of her pain. She is 5 months post op, pain is not centered around port or incision sites. Has anyone dealt with pts dealing with this sort of nagging pain? She also is very sensitive to fills and states she can feel the saline being injected into her band. She is down to 3ccs in the 10cc band because of different issues she has dealt with. She is not regurgitating food and states she is sticking to the eating plan quite well. Any suggestions welcome!
