Guest guest
Hi I did mention chromium supplements. They were recommended by my chiropractor and I did notice an improvement in my muscle pain and that achey-type feeling. (And, no he doesn't even sell the stuff!) I usually buy the NOW brand of chromium picolinate and think ? each capsule is 200 mcg. I take one w/ lunch and one with dinner. The NOW brand is pretty inexpensive and was also recommended to me by another doc several years ago. A great web site for supplements is Total Health Discount Vitamins. Great selection & great prices, but not much info on the supplements. http://www.totaldiscountvitamins.com/default.asp Hope this helps! Guest guest
, look into nigella sativa as an alternative Natasax I know I have been writing about chromium for better glucose absorption but I am beginning to worry about the form Chromium Picolinate, especially after reading this article below. http://www.pnas.org/content/100/7/3766.full When I am finished with the bottle I have, just to be on the safe side, I am going to look for a natural based Chromium. I won't be without Chromium as it substantially kills my cravings for any form of alcohol. In fact I gave a bottle to an 18 year old near me who is on Ritalin. He had gone on a drinking spree, ending up jumping over a shed into the back garden of a curry restaurant and beating the $%^ & out of two unsuspecting Indian waiters. The police were called in to restrain the lad but even they couldn't contain him. He always said he loved alcohol because he gave him extra energy ( No kidding!!) After a week on chromium, he had absolutely no urge for alcohol at all. ------------------------------------ DISCLAIMER No information contained in this post is to be construed as medical advice. Guest guest
Hello! I have had 2 patients this week with high chromium blood levels. One was post-op lap-band and one gastric bypass. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and if so did you advise to reduce chromium containing foods? Thanks so much, RD
