meat, fish,egg aversion after gastric bypass

hi all,

i have a post-op gastric bypass pt w/ a very strong aversion to most all meats,

fish and eggs, so much so that she is making her husband cook the turkey outside

to avoid having to smell it. this was a pre-existing aversion. she does eat

ground beef and some pork and she is willing to try meat substitute products

(ex. veggie crumbles, veggie burgers, veggie sausage, etc).

i've already discussed the use of protein powder mixed w/ her foods/beverages

and have educated her on all of the non-meat protein sources. have also searched

my bariatric cookbooks for several tofu-based recipes.

any creative ideas or help is greatly appreciated!
