Guest guest
"Call of Duty" "Call to Arms" Eugene "Coordinated Care Organizations" Tonight Where: Senior Community Center 155 High Street, Eugene Doctors, it is clear now from the Portland meeting that you are going to want to get to the meeting early! As the room will likely be full. Also based on the comments regarding the Portland meeting getting patients to the meeting would be a huge benefit. Things to consider and a few talking points for tonight's meeting: Get there early the meeting starts at 6:00pm, go for 5:30pm. Don't demand anything this will only work against us. Don't get mad, this will also work against us. Be calm and professional. Have a 30 to 60 second bite that you can stand and deliver, you must at the appropriate time be willing to stand and deliver for the profession. Here are some example sound bites we need to change it up and be more pointed with our questions--- practice yours be ready - get your patient ready You have said that if consumers demand chiropractic, naturopathy, or accupuncture that the CCO will have to provide it. Why will they have to provide it? Who is going to force them to? How are you going to prevent Hospital - Physician Organizations such as Sacred Heart and Willamette - Mckenzie from simply capturing and keeping all of the money in the global budget and not use these providers. Ok, ok, Dr. Sunny K.....you are going to take this one!! How is the Governor going to prevent hospital-physician organizations and medical IPAs from discriminating against the natural healers such as chiropractic physicians, naturopathic physicians, and accupunturists? Would you support adding the federal non-discrimination language found in the ACA (ObamaCare) law to the federal waiver the governor will be applying for, applying the non-discrimination to the CCOs. (Someone must ask this!) Would you favor introducing a bill during this coming Feburary legislative session that would insert the would insert the non-discrimination language applying it to the CCO? (Someone must ask this) We must hold these spoken people's feet to the fire we have only one more meeting after this......
