Guest guest Posted July 9, 2010 Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 our protocol is to give 100 mg IM daily for 3-5 days depending on symptomology (in this case sounds like 5 days is best). Then we recommend oral 100 mg thiamin 2x daily until levels indicate pt is maintaining level. Of note, I have 4 patients who are requiring 100 mg IM weekly to maintain levels and are not able to stay at normal level with any level of oral replacement. Make sure you monitor.....
