Do you work at a facility that uses

Micromedix? Their carenotes section has patient ed in English/Spanish.

Looking for Spanish Education Materials

I have a 10 year old boy who actually ended up having

a roux-en-y due to a malignant tumor attached to his stomach, pancreas, liver,

and duodenum. Mother is only Spanish speaking and I have no diet info available

in Spanish. Does any one have anything - very basic - in Spanish on dumping

syndrome, good foods/problem foods, and vitamin/mineral supplements?? This poor

kid started out underweight and is starting chemo in a few days. Before the

pediatric RD called me to talk with the family and the medical team he'd been

eating popcorn, soda, candy bars, and cheetos - all of which made him vomit or

have diarrhea. (He is on the kids oncology unit where apparently they have no

clue about the dietary implications this will have for him). They thought he

needed an appetite stimulant and some zofran! I had to do a whole inservice

with the nurses on dumping syndrome. Anyways, thank you in advance for your

help and any Spanish ed material you all can share!!
