Guest guest Posted October 27, 2011 Report Share Posted October 27, 2011 When I called Dr. 's office, their staff told me that he does do breast "scans"...but he does NOT do breast exams, or "women's health" if there is anything wrong on the scan (that would be like you or me taking a spinal x-ray and then handing it to the patient to go find someone to help them with their problems). Mammogram and US only detect lumps and cancer AFTER THE FACT! Breast thermograph can tell a woman if she "trending" toward breast cancer A DECADE before enough cancer cells accumulate to even be seen on US or mammogram (which, I believe, uses 9 times the radiation of a spinal x-ray). So, they can't tell you if your "heading" toward cancer, like thermography can. The woman my wife and I recently used is Ingrid Edstrom, FNP, in Eugene (right next to Valley River). She performs thermography, breast exams, saliva hormone tests (breast cancer is driven by estrogen dominance people), blood/UA, can also order US/mammograms/biopsy--if indicated--but, she also educates women on diet, nutrition, xenohormones/xenoestrogens, and how to REDUCE CANCER RISK.
