Guest guest
Hi Group,It seems that passive care (chiropractic & massage therapy) is looked at as very acceptable by the PIP insurers for about 2-3 months following an MVA. After that, it seems that active care is the only thing acceptable and they look more negatively upon continued passive care. Many times IMEs will cut off passive care, but allow active care to continue.Has this been "proven" in the research? Is there any research out there which shows that ongoing passive care is beneficial long-term? I understand that we want to move a person into more active care, but should that mean ending passive care altogether?Any thoughts?Jamey Dyson, DC, CCWPDoctor of Chiropractic (DC)Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner (CCWP)Advanced Chiropractic - a licensedEat Well Move Well Think Well ® Center1295 Wallace Rd NW ◠Salem, OR 97304Phone 503-361-3949 ◠Fax 503-763-6444www.advanced-chiropractic-west-salem.com
