Guest guest
Hi I joined this group because I take care of my daughter with down sydrome and cystic fibrosis. But now I have a question about myself. I have been experiencing these headaches that just will not go away. I am not sure I would classify them as migraines but I usually wake up with them and they can be pretty debilitating. I went to my doctor and he wanted me to get an MRI and gave me vicoden for 5 days. The vicoden helped get rid of them, but when I went to schedule the MRI, I found out that I have not met my deductable for the year so I told the doctor I would have the MRI after the first of the year, because money is tight and Christmas is going to be lean for my kids this year. Anyway here is my question, my headaches have now come back and I called the doc to see if he would give me a refil on the vicoden to get me through the first of the year. Well in a not so polite way, he said no and he could not take the liability of giving me more pain medication... So what do I do now? I would really like to get through the holidays with as little stress as possible but headaches are preventing that. Any suggestions?
