NEWS RELEASEDecember 30, 2011Media Contact:Tim Raphael, 503-689-6117Amy Wojcicki, 503-689-5324 Governor Kitzhaber Makes Rose Bowl Wager with Wisconsin Governor (Salem, OR) — Governor Kitzhaber today announced a friendly Rose Bowl wager made with Wisconsin Governor . The #5 Oregon Ducks are set to take on the #10 Wisconsin Badgers in the 98th Rose Bowl Game on January 2, 2012. “On Monday, in their third consecutive BCS appearance, the Ducks will show Wisconsin what they are made of," said Governor Kitzhaber. “I can’t wait to watch Oregon do what it does best - come together as a team to get the job done. The Badgers are a quality team, and it is a great Rose Bowl match up, but I’m looking forward to collecting on Governor ’s generous bet.†With the Ducks’ victory, Governor will package up a selection of Wisconsin products including: Leinenkugel's beer (produced in the Chippewa Valley), authentic Wisconsin cheese, a package of Andes mints (produced in Governor ’s hometown of Delevan), and a bottle of Blushing Rose Wine from Wollersheim Winery in Prairie du Sac, WI. In the unlikely event that the Ducks fall to the Badgers, Governor Kitzhaber will send a selection of Oregon’s best craft beers (from all corners of Oregon), Kettle Chips (produced in Salem), Oregon Hazelnuts and Oregon Smoked King Salmon, to Wisconsin to highlight just a few of the of the great items produced in Oregon. ### Sent to vsaboe@... — why did I get this? unsubscribe from this list | update subscription preferences Oregon Office of the Governor · 254 State Capitol · 900 Court Street NE · Salem, Oregon 97301
