Guest guest
Our hospitalist adjusts/monitors the blood sugar levels while the patient in the hospital. Most of our patients don't go home on oral DM medications. They are told to follow up with their PCP or Endo MD. Most patients have a 1 or 2 week follow up with their surgeons and in some instances the surgeon will tell them there is no need for oral meds unless your blood sugars get above X.
