Guest guest
From my Chairmen of the ACA's Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, Dr. Bill (Walter Military Hospital), this is the one key paragraph in his email this morning to us committee members that really struck home. It reinforced to me what all of this work with the Portland VA Medical Center is supposed to really be about not us but them, our veterans. Those brave men and women who have served our country and now suffer chronic pain deserve more than a slap on the back and more narcotics. Here is the paragraph Bill wrote that really got to me, "I just returned home from the wounded Marine Ball for our hospital. Dozens of 18-25 year old marines with one to four limbs missing. Marines, fathers, mothers, wives, and sweethearts all celebrating and honoring the sacrifices made by brave men for our sakes. They deserve our honor and respect and it is for those Marines (sailors, airmen, and soldiers) that we strive. They deserve to receive chiropractic care & by all that is righteous we are going to see that they receive it." Rember our Veterans this coming friday, Veterans Day. Blessings, Vern Saboe
