Guest guest
Yes, it's me again, I know, I know but we all get busy and this is so critically important I am going to keep bugging you all..! Again, we simply cannot allow the coming Oregon "Coordinated Care Organizations" to discriminate against us and our non-invasive/drug free treatment interventions. The medical profession namely the hospitals are attempting to control these CCOs and we and our patients friends and family must let our voices be heard!!! Today send in your email comment and have your patients do the same thing TODAY! This is really the last week we have to do so. Officials from the Oregon Health Policy Board will be reporting public comment relative to Oregon's coming CCOs during the next interim meeting at the capital of the Joint Health Care Committee. We must push them to report that Oregonians want their CAM providers (complimentary and alterative medical providers) chiropractors, naturopaths, massage therapists, acupuncturists, etc., etc. This will help our growing "non-MD coalition" the Oregon Chiropractic Association (who continues to look out for you) has been building....btw the nurse practitioners have just joined our coalition! As I started to say this will help our team of coalition members as we come to the microphone (after the OHPB officials) to express the need for Non-discrimination language in the "transformation bill" relative to CCOs not being able to discriminate against any health care provider practicing within their scope, licensure, or certification. Keep it simple send your emails and your patient's to: OHPB.Info@... Here be some samples of messages to send: If we are going to change how we deliver health care not just how we pay for it complimentary and alterative medical providers such as chiropractors, naturopaths, acupuncturists, massage therapist, etc. must not be discriminated against. The coordinated care organizations must not be allowed to discriminate against these providers or nothing changes we have become a nation of "pill poppers" drugs, drugs, and more drugs. Non-discrimination language must be added to the transformation bill. Please do not allow the "coordinated care organizations" to discriminate against my chiropractor he/she is the only one that ever helped me. A recent report from the CDC revealed that 9 out of 10 poisonings in this country are due to prescription drugs, 9 out of 10! Our nation is approaching 4-billion prescription drug purchases yearly that be "B" for billion!!! Please do not allow these CCOs to discriminate against the natural healers e.g. chiropractors, naturopaths, massage therapists, acupuncturists, etc. Oregon is now third in the nation for prescription narcotic abuse and we lead the nation in spinal surgeries per capita. If we are really going to change health care in Oregon you must not allow chiropractors to be discriminated against my chiropractor was the only one who ever helped my condition. Please explain to me why it is the Oregon Health Plan will pay for my visits to the medical doctor and will pay for all the pain medications including a narcotic that makes me feel weird but it will not pay for my chiropractor who helps me and keeps me off these drugs? Do not allow chiropractors to be discriminated against. Well you get the idea.....GO GET'EM COLLEAGUES!! To The Continued Good Fight...and Beyond!!!!! Dear colleagues today is our final push most of you have all sent your personal messages to the "Oregon Health Policy Board" so focus on getting your patients to send a message today which is If Oregon is serious about changing how we deliever health care not just how we pay for it, if we are serious about health care reform and getting away from all the medications. The coming Oregon "Coordinated Care Organizations must not be allowed to discriminate against the natural healers, chiropractors, naturopaths, acupunturists, massage therapists etc., etc.! What works well is to have something on paper with an example sentence for the patient to send in and as I say the patients are having fun with it especially the one with smart phones they will do it right there in your office!! Guest guest
This email went out this morning to our patients...Hi ,Healthcare in Oregon is going to change in the near future. I’m asking for you to step-up and let the decision-makers know what you want for your future healthcare. The Oregon Health Policy Board (OHPB) is in charge of deciding what Oregon’s heathcare programs will look like. One of the major changes will be the formation of “Coordinated Care Organizations”, or CCO’s. CCO’s will decide what services will and will not be covered. The OHPB is taking public comments via email until Jan 3rd. Please take the time to send them a quick email with your comments. The Issue:It is clear that the current healthcare system is not working. Despite the advances in technology and pharmaceuticals, most people are continuing to get sick with chronic illnesses. The costs continue to rise every year. The system needs to change at a fundamental level if we are to have any hope of making things better.I believe one of the most important steps is to allow equal coverage and equal access to natural healthcare providers. Currently, providers such as chiropractors, naturopaths, acupuncturists, and massage therapists are heavily discriminated against by private insurers, Medicare, and Oregon Health Plan. This discrimination needs to change if we are going to have any hope of moving people away from expensive, dangerous, and many times unnecessary, drugs and surgery. Most of the chronic illness people are suffering from is 100% preventable with lifestyle change and natural interventions. We need natural healthcare providers to be part of the new system that is being created. All we are asking for is a level playing field. Makes sense, right? What you can do:Take 5 minutes of your time to send a quick email to the OHPB at OHPB.info@...Here are some points to consider making in your email:Please ensure that alternative health care providers like my chiropractor are not discriminated against by these “Coordinated Care Organizations.”If we are going to change how we deliver health care not just how we pay for it we must move away from all the drugs with their side effects. Please make sure my chiropractor and other natural healers are not discriminated against by the CCOs.I went to my medical doctor for _________condition and all he gave me was pain pills which made me feel lousy. A friend suggested I see her/his chiropractor who took care of the problem, chiropractors have a lot to offer not the least of which is drug free treatment that works. Please make sure these “Coordinated care organizations” are not allowed to discriminate against them. Thanks for stepping-up for better healthcare for the great state of Oregon!Be Well,Dr. Jamey DysonAdvanced Chiropractichttp://advancedchiropracticwestsalem.medicfusion.comadvchiro@...503-361-394912.29.2011/01:19:48 PM/DGDAll patients emailsIf you do not wish to receive informational emails of this nature, please log into your patient portal and visit your demographic page.
