Guest guest
Hi Vern, It is my turn to deal with WC shananigans. I had a pt who was referred to me from an MD and was given a written prescription for 12 chiro visits. I treated the pt and was able to have her pre accident in 9 visits. The WC carrier is Tri Star and they paid for the first 2 visits and have not paid for anything else. Services were provided early Feb through 1st of mar. My billing person has called them repeatedly and is getting the run around. I am considering filing a complaint with the ins division. Any suggestions? Guest guest
Dr.Babbitt, Filing that complaint - or at least the threat thereof - has loosened up more cash than you would think. Our office has reached the point of starting there, once the usual tricks have failed and prolonged time has passed. It is a statement that seems to work wonders with recalcitrant claims adjusters. Guest guest
Have the patient file a complaint. You do not want to open up that can of worms.
