My personal health care has involved Chiropractors, Naturopaths, Acupuncturists, Licensed Message Therapists, Yoga Therapists, and Meditation. I've learned that a conservative, non-drug approach to health, with an emphasis on preventive wellness, that works with the body to strengthen it's natural capacities for self-healing, is a powerful, and finally superior method of health care for me and my family.I strongly urge you to include CAM providers in any new organization of health care delivery in Oregon. Their services are utilized by many Oregonians, and their protocols are considerably more economical than medical care alone. Any changes in health care delivery without CAM providers will have missed a huge opportunity for serving the state and it's people.Thank you for your considerations.(name):(address):On Dec 22, 2011, at 11:51 AM, vsaboe wrote: Dear colleagues here is some more “ammo” to use and for your patients to use as per the medical model of healthcare with its over-reliance on drugs, drugs, and more drugs. Guest guest
I think it's important we add in the NON-DISCRIMINATION wording that Vern gave us. If not, they may include us but only with an MD referral. That's what the MDs want....they want control over who gets what tx and how many treatments and they probably will want to tell us what area to adjust. We need our patients to ask that they can see us WITHOUT a referral from anyone.
