Dear Colleagues,

Attached is the first document by the Oregon Chiropractic Association which will be sent out weekly via email blast to all 90 Oregon State Legislators and to various key policy makers in state various governmental agencies e.g., Oregon Health Authority and the myriad of other Boards and Commissions and Subcommittee heads dealing with health care and health care providers and public protection.

The strategy by the OCA is to as always be proactive and preemptive in this case relative to the apparent national plan by the American Medical Association to restrict our scope of practice as well as other professions as we are seeing being played out in Texas e.g., chiropractic physicians not even being able to perform vestibular testing utilizing basic quippment Dr. Ted Carrick recommends and utilizes...as the judge in Texas ruled that this was beyond chiropractors scope of practice!!!

The OCA will so educate Oregon's Legislative members to our substainal education, clinical skill sets, broad scope services, and superior outcomes that if and when (and the OCA is not going to wait) the AMA via the Oregon Medical Assoication attempt to attack our scope of practice they will slamm smack tab into a wall of well educated law makers in Salem costing them political currency!!
