I love to send patients to Ray North. He taught knee surgery at OHSU for years. He no longer does surgery and has a practice entirely of evaluation and giving surgical opinions. He is conservative about recommending surgery and will always give advice on what to do to avoid surgery. He will also make referrals on the basis of the type of surgery needed (not every knee surgeon is the best at everything).
