Guest guest
Dear Colleagues, Looking for suggestions. 54 year old female, with current complaint of fatigue, sleeping up to 12-14 hours per day. She has pain in her neck and upper back that has been going on for about two months. She was working with a trainer and thought it was just working out and being sore from it. She stopped the training because the P didn't stop. And two months later she is still in pain. She is currently on prozac which is helping take the edge of depression, anxiety and OCD symptoms. She drinks coffee all day long and gets headaches daily. She is not taking any supplements. Her affect is blunted, at best. Family history: her mother has severe osteoperosis that started in her 40's and at age 79 she has lost 4 inches in height due to compression fractures. Sent her for x-rays and have discovered she has a mild compression fracture at T7 and various levels of degeneration and hyperkyphotic. Will send for MRI to find out of fx is acute (no traumatic event of recent note) Waiting for results of DEXA Wondering what my colleagues find as better options for calcium etc... Thanks, Judith Judith E. Allan, DC Lake Oswego
