Guest guest
We are having problems with United Healthcare. Gee. What a surprise. But this isn't the usual stall or "OOPS, an error was made" kind of issue. They are sending us EOB's that indicate that they owe me no reimbursement. Their 'explanation' is that they are applying "Provider Discounts" to the codes/charges I have billed. However, I am NOT contracted with them, so obviously they cannot apply "Provider Discounts", as BC/BS would for me as a preferred provider. Same thing for another claim for a patient who has UHC, but NO chiro benefits. She has great secondary insurance coverage via BC/BS, but we get the same EOB saying that they have applied a provider discount. That then creates a glitch with BC/BS and we don't get paid. It is taking a HUGE amount of time for my office manager to try to get this straightened out and we are not being paid. ANYONE??
