alopecia in 60 y/o female

60 something female pretty active.

Her hair started falling out 18 months ago.

Only medication is blood pressure medication, Lisinopril;

MD said it CANNOT be the drug.

Biopsy shows permanent changes in scalp indicative of hair loss.

Walk through this with me.

If a drug is carefully tested, the common side effects are noted.

Rare side effects are going to be harder to pin down because many people are on several meds. They are not going to relate a symptom to a drug interaction.

This site shows alopecia as a rare side effect (one in a thousand.)

Anyone have knowledge of alopecia in aging women that might give some hope?

I’m sending her to a hormone specializing ND.
