In this message at the end where i suggest that you confirm, let me restate:

confirm because i'm new too and though the information here rings familiar i

haven't had a chance to get feed back from the pros i've been learning from on

another group, which is what i am going to do before i use any of it. my last

post was worded poorly (fatigue i guess) and am eager to pass on what " looks "

like a good site. I'm feeling quite like i have a giant foot (mine) in my mouth

now and sure didn't intend my last post to sound like it did:-( I am the

inexperienced one.

Re: colorant and e-wax

Being a beginner, I have two questions for the experienced. One is what kind

of color does one use for soaps..I've seen mica, liquid color and another or

two, but all I know is to use colorants safe for bath products, or cosmetic

grade. But the explainations leave a lot to be desired for a beginner.

any advice?

And two, I know what e-wax does, I think, but what can be used for

e-wax..names would be nice or a list to chose from?..... is beeswax one?

I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks Jan and Holly...I haven't screwed up anything yet, still in

reading/saving mode. Will know exactly what is used for what before I begin.

I appreciate your input.

I guess the thought of putting herbs into my soap instead of crayons is more

appealing to me. Some flower petals work great..I have tried calendula and was

very happy with the results...on the other hand, others just turn brown and look

like bugs.

Hi!

Am usually a lurker but we just recently made one, of mostly tree essential

oils. Pine needle etc. Tried to use the same proportions of what hunters might

find in the forests here in the NW.

If you would like the specific recipe let me know.

Enjoy!

Blessings,

I was browsing through some fo descriptions at either wholesale supply plus

or Nature's garden and one of them had dirt fragrance oil listed. They said

it was a favorite with hunters. I know my husband has bought some kind of

oil that he puts out around his stand that helps cover his scent and he did

have dirt scent.

Most hunters soap is a combo of anise and sweet fennel or a licorice type

smell. It is said to cover human scent. fishermen use it a lot too. I

make it all the time as it is one of my favorites.

Hi Dianne

I sell everything but I also share everything so no biggie. Just make your

regular soap and I do my scent two parts anise and one part sweet fennel.

The sweet fennel seems to add to the anise which needs something when done

alone. So I make 6 lbs of soap at a time and use two ounces anise and one

ounce sweet fennel to scent it. I also use black oxide to swirl it, but if

you could find a red that might be cool too.

I read my email and realized I wasn't clear. I'm not saying someone dying

in the family is not also traumatic, but that these 2 cases are different.

Kendra's trauma is different than the trauma from a love one dying. That was

my point, Sorry for the confusion.

True, it may seem that the cases you

all cases are different. You cannot treat and compare one clinical case to

of

dying people to a traumatizing event in someone's life is irrational to me.

Surgery works too, if you have Conn's rather than bilateral hyperplasia.

MC blocker AND DASH. ;-)I consider DASH as a key to the treatment program. Perhaps even as powerful as MCBs but never been well tested.Actually we should be using the term MCR blockers (Mineralocorticoid Receptor Blockers). But hard to change even for me. About 50% of the time it works over the long haul. Even the original Conn's developed HTN in later years. May your pressure be low!Clarence E.
