Tonight is the Bend statewide meeting on “Coordinated Care Orgainizations” (CCOs) 6pm – 8pm “The Riverhouse Convention Center” 2850 NW Rippling River Court The profession needs you Central Oregon doctors to go to this roundtable meeting tonight and “stand and deliver” for the profession if you can bring a patient or several to tell their chiropractic stories that would be huge. Dear colleagues, We must continue to step up and voice the concern and reality that nothing in Oregon’s health care system nor that of the nation will change if we do not move away from the medical model of health care with its over-reliance on pharmacology and surgery. Oregon ranks third in the nation for prescription drug abuse and first in the nation for spinal surgery with Bend (over) Oregon being the spinal surgical capital of the US, more spinal surgeries occur in Bend (over) Oregon per capita than in any other city! Complementary or Alternative Health Care providers such as chiropractic and naturopathic physicians, massage therapists, licensed accupunturists, doctors of oriental medicine etc. with their evidence based interventions and superior outcomes MUST NOT BE DESCRIMINATED AGAINST BY THE “Coordinated Care Organizations” (CCOs)!
