10% dilution

Good Morning All,

I have looked and looked for the answer to the following question,

and I'm somewhat embarrassed to ask it, because it must be so simple

an answer....but here goes, (mathematically challenged)

If I have 10 oz. of whatever and I want to do a 10% dilution......am

I adding 1 oz. of alcohol/oil ....or am I taking one ounce of

whatever and adding 9 oz. of alchol/oil ?

Also could someone please clarify the proper scale for the following:

Eau de Parfum- strongest

and then which is next? I have the scale running three different

ways with Cologne next, then an Eau de Cologne, then an Eau de

Toilette.

next is EDP, EDC, then EDT

next is EDP, Eau de Toilette, then EDC

I am soooooo very confused.
