Guest guest
Hi , I am trying to eat real food, not so much bars and shakes, have one about every other day. I usually eat blueberries, cottage cheese and splenda for breakfast. Then I have homade chicken salad on light whole wheat bread for lunch and a V8. In the afternoons if I am really hungry, I will have bar or even another sandwich. When I make chicken salad I don't want it to go to waste. Dinner is usually chicken on the grill and either a salad or grilled squash, onions and zuchinni. I think the biggest thing that is making a difference for me right now is drink the water and not drinking the 6-8 MT. Dews/Cokes I drank every day, and I am watching fats. I let myself have on fat a day, either butter at dinner on one veggie, or may in my chicken salad. I have shake powder in my desk and BFL bars in my car, so I won't be tempted to fall off the wagon. I do know that my husband says he can see a difference and I know I am feeling better. How about you? I would love to hear some of your average day menus, I too am already bored!! thanks, Dee > Dee, > > Can you please post at least two days of your nutritional intake? Guest guest
Hi Dee, I have blueberries, raspberries, lite cool whip and splenda..... if I need another protein I will add the vanilla whey powder protein to that combination... its a little lumpy but good! I do alot of grilled chicken too.... plus I will have about 10 medium shrimp for a protein portion. So you figure a lb of medium shrimp will actually give you about 5 protein portions cooked all at one time and put them in Tupperware. Just recently I decided to try turkey sausage and turkey Italian sausage for variety. The fat doesn't make a difference in my entire day. I made two omelets while doing dinner last night, cut the " T " Italian sausage in half and used a little in both precooked for the next couple of days. Heating up the kitchen in the summer time is brutal so I got to where I will think ahead to other things I can cook at the same time while I have dinner going. Fat free Yogurt is a quick grab and go. I found a pinacolada flavor that is delicious. Huge difference between low fat and non fat by the way don't grab the wrong ones! Beef Jerky is a on the go food. And Almonds, I will have about 7 a day just because they are good for you. The South Beach Diet pizzas are very good and pack a ton of protein. I don't mind paying for the only pizza I enjoy right now. It is the carb of the day when I eat those. Other days I will use the premade chicken wraps that I started keeping in the fridge. I make them with whole wheat pita fat free cheese and spinach leaves or the fat free mayo instead of cheese, swap it up.... You might want to try the morning star farm burgers and veggie patties they are good extras when I don't feel like fixing anything and want something different. So the pizzas and anything packaged are good when I run out of seafood or get tired of chicken. Also been sprouts have protein and I got a package for 59 cents and added them to the chicken wraps. Anything I find that has protein in it with low carb I try to incorporate. And the calorie intake around 1,000 to 1200 for me and is doable and the scale is moving quickly which is something that I had to have happen. 12 weeks on the program and only a 2 lb loss didn't cut it for me. But this is definitely helping. I stick to trying to focus on my proteins because I see that the carbs will always be there...LOL You sound like you are doing great! --------------------------------- Sell on Auctions - No fees. Guest guest
You only eat 1000-1200 calories in a day? How many calories do your meals typically have??
