Larry:

I have Type 2 CMT. As far as rashes go, I had a bunch over the years but

they've mostly been related to insects, poison ivy, etc. I never was prescribed

the medication you mentioned.

I've had a lot of anxiety over my life time but over 2/3 of it has been related

to my CMT or medical problems; fears and anxieties about them progressing or

about tripping in public, etc. I have never taken medications for anxiety and

would only do so as a last resort as many antianxiety medications are known to

be addictive; I work in the mental health industry and was directly supervised

by a psychiatrist for years.

I can't speak to the sexual issues either as I have not noticed any out of the

ordinary issues in that department.

I can date my CMT symptoms all the way back to early childhood so I really don't

see any other explanation, in my case, except genetics (even though nobody else

in my family was diagnosed). I was also born with cataracts and had surgeries

for this as a child - I could imagine that a med or precedure from my surgeries

may have contributed as these were from ages four to eight, before the CMT was

noticeable. Good luck.

Peace, :) marti
