Guest guest
Unfortunately the “truth” should not have been described as “inconvenient”. It should be described as the “Inconceivable Truth”. As is obvious by the inability of most Americans to comprehend the scale and scope of the problem. MostAmericans have been unable to grasp that the day to day weather fluctuations are not direct evidence for or against global warming. They believe the fact that it was very cold in the north eastern USA this year is proof against global warming. Here is a link to the actually science with regards to glacial mass. http://www.skepticalscience.com/himalayan-glaciers-growing-intermediate.htmThe author makes a great point, “Skeptics confuse these issues by cherry picking individual glaciers or by ignoring long term trends.” On the “Intermediate Science” tab there is actual data for changes in glacial mass. They note that while a few did show growth, 77% and 94% were shrinking in 2003 and 2003 respectively. I will admit this data is a few years old. If needby I’ll track down more recent data. But since farther down on that same page there is a trend graph from 1945 till 2005 and a quick reading of that data convinces me that it would be ludicrous to waste any more time. BTW I could also find the same data forocean temperatures, ice fields size in Antarctic, sea ice in the Arctic, permafrost distribution, etc etc etc. 150 years ago science fiction authors predicted global warming would happen100 years ago scientist were demonstrating global warming was happing60 years ago the weight of the evidenced supported global warming30 years ago only a handful of fossil fuel paid scientist refuted global warmingNow… anti-global warming is simply an intellectual indefensible position Glenn Sykes, DC Gresham Town Fair Chiropractic ClinicPhone: (503) 667-6744Fax: (503) 661-7896WWW.GRESHAMCHIROPRACTOR.NET From: [mailto: ]On Behalf Of D Beebe, D.C.Sent: Friday, April 01, 2011 11:12 AMoregondcSubject: OT Glaciers Al Gore convieniently omits the truth. http://www.iceagenow.com/Glaciers_growing_on_Mt_Shasta.htm __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5990 (20110327) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com__________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5990 (20110327) __________The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.http://www.eset.com
Guest guest
Glenn, a friend of mine invited me to a dinner party about a decade ago or more. One of her close high school friends had just returned from a mission in orbit. Her name is Helms (astronaut); Parkrose High graduate. It was her 3rd orbit. The polar caps had been shrinking and she noticed that the ozone hole was enlarging at a rapid rate on the polar caps. Each time she went up, it was measured and noted as rapidly thinning. Currently the ozone deletion covers a circumference on the south pole that extends to the southern border of Australia. Thus the melting caps. Delete ozone = more UV rays to melt the ice (and our skin). When I was in New Zealand, 5 ? yrs ago, they had weather reports that listed "sun time" It was stated like this, "Today there is a 15 min sun time" that means one should not spend more than 15 min in the sun without protection due to the UV exposure. Children who came to school without long sleeves and a hat were sent home. Sobering. But lest this become a chicken little cry that the 'sky is falling'; we might ask what can we do to help? Use less energy at all times. Reduce consumption. Buy re-used items when possible. limit recreation that uses gas. Convert to energy effient products when possible. Speak to our children about consumption and the need to HAVE every new thing on the market. Recycle. We could even begin educating our children about over population. This is highly controversial, I realize, to even suggest limiting family size. Guest guest
Thank you, Glenn and Minga. The thinning of the ionosphere is due in part to the electromagnetic discharges from our sun, which cycle every 11 years or so. The peak of cycle 24, which we are currently living, is scheduled to appear around July, 2013. See NASA summaries at: http://solarscience.msfc.nasa.gov/SunspotCycle.shtmlThe thinning of the ionosphere is in line with the Mayan cosmology transitions around the 2012 date. Specifically, we are witnessing the evolution of humanity and Earth before our very eyes: “The historic process is changing dramatically before our eyes … Mankind taken as a whole is becoming a powerful geological force. Humanity’s mind and work face the problem of reconstructing the biosphere in the interests of freely thinking mankind as a single entity. This new state of the world we are approaching without noticing it is the ‘Noosphere.’” V.I. Vernadskyhttp://www.lawoftime.org/noosphere.htmlVerdansky also said that "the impact of industrialization is actually affecting the geological timing, bringing about a mutational phase known as the biosphere-noosphere transition...." http://www.lawoftime.org/noosphere/theoryandhistory.htmlJust as we each have individually undergone a transition from childish competitive ways into cooperative maturity, now the transition is occurring collectively. The result will be the noosphere, or the manifestation of humanity's collective consciousness, as a "replacement" for the protective ionosphere. Each of Earth's Prophets has informed us of this. The Buddha said, "As the shadow follows the body, as we think so do we become." This realization for the individual is the hallmark of the transition from adolescence to maturity; it's realization collectively will be the noosphere, or the sign of collective humanity's maturity. Our way out of the current crises affecting the Earth and humanity lies in our seeing the mind of humanity operating as a single organism. Essentially, this is the realization and synchronizing of innate intelligence; or "Chiropractors correct abnormalities of the intellect as well as the body," as Dr. Palmer told us!For more on this highly controversial and fascinating topic, see:http://www.realitysandwich.com/noosphere_next_stage_evolutionFood for thought! Guest guest
Dr. Beebe,You wrote, “If global warming were truly happening as the cause of emissions why were temps not increasing during the industrial revolution?†It was. Most experts now believe the CO2 produced during the Industrial Revolution was the trigger that actually ended what is now known as the “LittleIce Ageâ€. (roughly 1500-1850AD) Hence the reason the Delaware River does not freeze over like is portrayed in the famous Leutze painting of Washington’s Crossing. Your comment exemplifies why I rarely waste my time debating this issue. However I do enjoy when people use data that actually proves my argument, and yet don’t realize it. Thank you. I’m going to giggle about this all day. As far as your Kool-Aid crack. I have always found it ironic when “free thinkers†parrot Limbaugh/O’Reilly/Beck without a shred of understanding. Thenwhen faced with uncontroversial evidence they find themselves unable to make a rational counterargument, they simply revert to insults. BTW Crichton also wrote about velociraptors terrorizing the world. As explained by the paper’s author Professor Jyrki Kauppinen, “The climate is warming, yes, but not because of greenhouse gases.â€For the preeminent scientific journal in the world to publish Kauppinen’s work shows conclusively that Al Gore’s much touted “scientific consensus†supporting human-causedglobal warmingis a myth.Eco-censors and the global warming hoaxFor years scientists have been trying to get out the message past the eco-censors that there are thousands and thousands of them who do not buy into the global warming hoax.Since 2009 more than 238 physicists including Nobel Prize winner Ivar Giaever and professors from Harvard, MIT, Princeton, UCLA and dozens of other top universities and research institutions have signed an open letter addressed to the Council of the AmericanPhysical Society saying the scientific data did not support the conclusion that increased CO2 concentrations are responsible for global warming. In 2009 over 700 international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC members, joined with Senator Inhofe in a Senate Minority Report to express their doubts over man-made global warming claims. In the report U.S. Government Atmospheric Scientist Stanley B.
