Guest guest
, Here's the sheet on Flomax I give my patients. From the PDR and the 2nd edition of Drug-Induced Nutrient Depletions Handbook by Ross Pelton, et al. Remember every drug has a 1/2 life. Don't know what Flomax's 1/2 is, but it takes a while for the liver to degrade any toxin. Flomax Depletes: Bifidus (helps maintain proper gut pH and destroy “bad” bacteria, produces short chain fatty acids that nourish the colon cells) and Lactobacillus (barrier against infection in the small intestine, produces natural antibiotics, produces lactic acid and hydrogen peroxide which inhibits yeast growth, helps healthy digestion by producing enzymes that help digest fats, proteins and dairy products, produces B vitamins and vitamin K, helps metabolize cholesterol; Biotin (produces energy from carbohydrates & fats, helps excretion of byproducts of protein metabolism, produces healthy hair and helps slow graying of hair, helps prevent dry, splitting nails, helps prevent depression, dermatitis, anorexia, lesions on the nose and mouth, muscle pain and heart irregularities), Inositol (helps decrease diabetic neuropathy, depression, panic, obsessive-compulsive behavior). Side Effects: Abnormal ejaculation, back pain, chest pain, cough, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, infection, nausea, runny nose, sinus problems, sleepiness, sore throat, weakness Christian Mathisen, DC, CCWFN 3654 S Pacific Hwy Medord, OR 97501 cmathdc@... ----- Original Message ----- From: DeJana Oregondcs Sent: Wednesday, May 04, 2011 12:59 PM Subject: FLowmax and fatigue? Docs: A patient presented today with complaint of fatigue, duration of 4 weeks. Onset was after one week on Flowmax. He stopped the prescription, however the fatigue has not reduced. He also reports a drop 20 bpm in his normal resting heart rate. His PCP and urologist do not believe there is any relation to the medication. Has anyone seen this before? Guest guest
, Denial of connection of side effects and pharmaceuticals is a high art within the medical arenas and their standard reply. Fatigue is almost ALWAYS a residual of pharmaceuticals so your innate would most likely be right on! What appears to happen is that our populace is low on minerals and vitamin saturation but the pharmaceuticals need those components in order for the body to process the phamaceutical so that compound actually 'rapes' the body of what little reseres it has. Get him on some liquid minerals and strong levels of vit c (5000 mg/day for ~ 3 months) and b complex vits (100 mg/day) and suggest he add liquid calcium with 10 grains/650 mig HCL (to increase the absorption of the calcium) in the evening to aid his sleep and quied the bladder concern (bladder concerns always seem to include low calcium stores) and he should begin to regroup over about 4 - 6 weeks.
