Guest guest
I just returned from the Alliance of International Aromatherapists Conference in Denver Colorado. Absolutely amazing, the coherence and wonderful work that the DiAngelos and Laraine and Lora and everyone else involved have achieved. Tisserand attended, after many years out of the limelight, and was given a lifetime achievement award. Dr. Penoel and entourage from France, Australia and South Africa presented detailed info on new oils of Fragonia and Kunzia. So many wonderful speakers. We need someone from perfumery to speak next time - October of 2008. Perhaps I could suggest one of you? We distilled more white lavender yesterday...the late summer distillation, and the last of the lavender. I sold quite a bit of the white lavender oil at the conference last weekend. The novelty of the name, I think, but it is a wonderfully light and powdery lavender, most like the 'high' fine lavenders of France. Today we will distill the wild fennel seed. I have had many requests for my fennel oil and the summer plants are finally maturing to seeds. We have been picking for hours and hours to get enough to distill. I hope we get enough oil for me to sell. Also, my Lavender and Helichrysum hydrosols are so fine. I don't know if you use hydrosols in your work, but they make wonderful base for lotion or mist, pet products...Lavender is a wonderful skin toner. Helichrysum hydrosol is so healing and used for acne, pain relief and gingivitis. Clary Sage hydrosol got me through menopause. Lemon Verbena - so good for fear and grief. Mugwort for exploring the Psyche through dreams. White sage I use for sore throat and clearing the space for meditation. Incense Cedar is woodsy and perfect for protection from winter germs.
