Guest guest
Yes I have seen all of their stuff. I have looked through their nonsense thoroughly. They are the meat and dairy people spreading all of the crazy stuff to protect their profits. But all of their claims are false. If you read the LEF article it debunks all of that stuff. The fact is that more and more peer reviewed published studies today confirm the benefits of soy. Here is one of the craziest, looniest rumors that these people have started. There were a bunch of articles and blogs a while back creating fear in people that soy will make boys gay by increasing estrogen. Soy does not contain estrogen and does not make boys gay. But here is something else to consider. They were claiming that soy was responsible for the *RISE* in boys being gay. But there has not been an increase in boys being gay. So right from the start it's a bogus claim. And hormone levels in gay men are are the same as in hetero men. Do the Chinese appear to be gay? They evidently F%^* like rabbits and have the largest heterosexual populations on the planet. And how about the Japanese? And in my opinion, HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACT WHEN CONSIDERING SOY:..... Okinawans consume 60-120 grams of soy protein per day and have the longest, healthiest lives of any population on the planet. Now that is a fact. These Western Price people have an axe to grind and huge financial losses and they will misrepresent the scientific literature in any way that they can to scare people away from soy and get them to eat lots of fat filled, cholesterol rich meats and dairy. The soy industry has hit them hard. And they are fighting back. On Fri, Dec 9, 2011 at 4:14 PM, stardora <stardora@...> wrote: > ** > > > Some articles about soy from the Weston A. Guest guest
Here here chuck. I wouldn't look into this too deeply. Basically, I ignore any information posted by mercola. 100 per cent quack quack quackery. Re: Soy - W. A. Price Foundation Yes I have seen all of their stuff. Guest guest
If I was going to eat soy as a primary source of protein, I would make sure it wasn't GMO. MOST soy used in processed food is just that. I don't think anyone is saying that a moderate amount of ORGANIC soy is going to cause problems. But most people in the west get most of their calories in processed form, and like I just said, a lot of that is now GMO, with all of the added environmental contaminants, preservatives, dyes, sugars and other garbage they put into it. We evolved as hunter-gathers for most of our evolutionary history, so our genetically based needs are likely to be whole foods in their natural state...lots of vegetables, some fruits, animals...and indeed for some (primarily those of European ancestry) that adapted to animal husbandry, dairy. But all of these things that are available now in the modern industrial world, that aren't organic, are contaminated with all manner of toxic garbage. That is what is usually not taken into account when trying to determine what are safe and health promoting food stuffs. If you try to eat like our ancient ancestors, relative to your particular genetic heritage, you are probably eating as healthily as possible. BTW, I don't think that WAP is defending any segment of the food industry. If you read Price's book, they are saying that THE MODERN FOOD INDUSTRY IS THE PROBLEM. Their remedy is to get back to natural whole organic foods, and then let your body tell you what it needs by how you feel. Sounds like a wise recommendation to me! Re: Soy - W. A. Price Foundation Yes I have seen all of their stuff. I have looked through their nonsense thoroughly. They are the meat and dairy people spreading all of the crazy stuff to protect their profits. The soy industry makes huge profits, when people buy " soy-fed " animal meat. And reducing that meat consumption will directly hurt " the poor soy producers " , unless they (i.e., mega-cartel agriculture) can get people to eat those huge volumes of GMO-soy, that the farm animals are now eating. How to get people to eat up, that *huge* GMO-soy crop? ... How about a U.N. Tax, to subsidize low-cost, GMO-soy foods for everyone on the planet? GMO-Soy for All; Yum, Yum, Yum! Guest guest
Wow. Amazing. I am confused about something though. How does WAP supposedly make money ? I belong to the chapter of Weston A Price in my city and must be missing something as I have not seen any evidense of WAP making a lot of money in the last 3 years. Actualyy soy does contain estrogen. What other places are you getting your information? By the way, some poeple are healthier on whole organic foods. The most effective food plan for both long and short-term health that I have seen is Bee Wilder's food protocols - the people whom have the guts and motivation to stay on her diets cannot say enough good things about her protocols & the improvements in their health. In my perceptions whatever works is the final word regardless of studies, etc. blessings Shan > > > ** > > > > > > Some articles about soy from the Weston A. You probably read that on some vegan website, as they are the idiots who usually make that claim. The fact is, the WAPF is against factory farmed meat and dairy, so it makes zero sense that the meat and dairy factory farming industry would give them money. Guest guest
Chuck, I hope you enjoy eating plenty of that unfermented GMO soy, which you believe is a healthy thing to eat. Maybe you were a soy milk baby? ... And need to loose weight now? No? ... And you don't see the obesity-epidemic's endocrine-disruption connection, either? You do know what a goitrogen is, don't you? ... As in, diet-induced hypothyroidism? Guest guest
It makes the world of difference if it is unfermented or fermented soy products that are eaten - it makes the difference of having breast cancer like a person I met a few days ago or not haveing cancer, for only one reason...... This lady I met....she is a vegaretarian and eats lots of unfermemted soy products for at least 2 meals every single day as she said that soy is her protein. Actually to be correct, she is not sure if she still has cancer -- she has just finished a course of chemo treatments .... But instead of being happy that they think the cancer is probably gone, she is agonizing that she might get the cancer back again . She seems to alternate between agonizing that she may get the cancer back and trying to convince herself that it was all the plastic that she was exposed to as a nurse that caused the breast cancer & the unfermented soy had nothing to do with it........... and believe me she is trying so very very hard to convince herself that all the soy she eats does not have anything to do with the cancer.............it is very sad..............and everyone at her place of employment now feels very sorry for her..... In my opinion the emotional pain she goes through is by far her worst pain............ Personally I will pass this scenario................ blessings Shan > > > > > >... I have looked through all of that nonsense and have absolutely no respect for the kooks, like Mercola, who contimuopusly spew it out. All of that stuff has been debunked over and over. > > > --- At 05:40 PM 11, 11 12 2011, Chuck wrote: > > > >On Sat, Dec 10, 2011 at 6:29 PM, Bill Kingsbury <b.b.bb@...> > wrote: > > > >> > >> --- At 07:50 AM 10 12 2011, Chuck wrote: > >> > > >> >...
