Guest guest
I also have Meniere's, luckily the hearing loss isn't terrible but I do wear hearing aids in both ears. For me the tinnitus is variable, it ranges from being pretty easy to ignore about 75% of the time, to just about deafening about 5% of the time. I keep an iPod next to my desk parked in speakers, and play natural white noise all day - you can download from naturesounds.ca for reasonable prices. I listen to waterfalls, rainstorms, that kind of thing. I distracts the brain from the noise you would otherwise be listening to, and works pretty well. On Sun, Nov 14, 2010 at 2:53 PM, B. Jay Merritt <bjmpers2002@...> wrote: Greetings: I wanted to comment for the person who is experiencing ringing in the ears. This of course is called tinnitus. I have had tinnitus for 26 years in my right ear, and for about 7 in my left ear. It sounds like someone is holding a tea kettle up against my ears, and it _never_ goes away. I also have Meniere's Disease, with profound hearing loss. I totally understand what you must be feeling. It took me several months to get used to the constant noise. One technique that helps me get to sleep is called masking. You simply cover up the tinnitus with a different sound. And for me, white noise is the answer. It sounds silly, but I turn a small radio next to my bed to an area between any two stations, so all you hear is static. After a day of non-stop tinnitus sounds, I find the white noise soothing. You can also use music, or one of those sound generators that emit sounds like waves crashing or the sound of rain to cover up the tinnitus sounds. And finally, there are now specific clinics that deal with tinnitus. In the Denver area, for example, I've seen an ad for an ENT who specializes in tinnitus (pronounced TINnitus or tiNItus, I think both are correct). For some people, tinnitus is transient and only lasts a few weeks or months. I hope you are in this category, but if not please know that there are ways to live with this unpleasant problem. Sincerely, DenverJ

It's sometimes due to vitamin B12 deficiency, or to hypothyroidism. The MMA [methymalonic acid] test is best to uncover a B12 deficiency. Also, use of cell phones is linked to ringing in the ears: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/7898406/Regular-mobile-phone-use-li\ nked-to-tinnitus-research.html And, the use of cell phones is linked to reduced thyroid hormones: http://www.avaate.org/IMG/pdf/Eskander_et_al_2011.pdf Note that hypothyroidism frequently yields " normal " results on thyroid hormone blood test results -- except for the more useful, and rarely done test for the " FT3/RT3 Ratio. " Most doctors have never even heard of this test, so they certainly cannot offer educated opinions about it. Google: " FT3/RT3 Ratio " + " Kent Holtorf, MD " See: http://nahypothyroidism.org See: RT3_T3/ Bill ...
Guest guest
That's called tinnitus. You need to clean up yourself from parasites (and clean up your pets if you have any)  Use Black Walnut hulls, Wormwood and Clove combination http://www.vitacost.com/Natures-Answer-Black-Walnut-and-Wormwood-Complex  also some foods are helpful, these are instructions from the internet: 1. eating raw carrots and beets. Chew well and wash down with raw sauerkraut juice; 2. boil some garlic, horseradish, and onions in water and drink it slowly; 3. eat as much raw garlic as possible, then take a laxative. Repeat for several days; 4. extracts of garlic, onion, pomegranate rind, turmeric, and various citrus rinds possess anti-worm properties. Bromelain, papain, and other proteoplytic enzymes are useful in dissolving the outer layer of the worms.   ________________________________ From: <samjon11@...> Health <Longevity > Sent: Wednesday, December 28, 2011 5:13 AM Subject: Ringing in the ears  Anyone know what to do for " ringing in the ears " ?
