Guest guest
Ya know, I was thinking, The MCO calling us to tell us that the patient is under an MCO and that we have to refer them is premature. The case hasn't been formally accepted yet. How can you ask me to refer a patient when the case hasn't even been accepted as a work comp claim? What if it's denied? Now I've referred a patient for care unnecessarily and perhaps the doctor on the MCO doesn’t even accept the patient's private health ins. but we do!.....What a mess. Wouldn't it be prudent to wait until written notice is given of an acceptance or denial of a claim? Also, doesn't written notification have to be sent to the provider on this issue? Am I to refer a patient because I received a voice mail? This is absolute insanity. Dr. Abrahamson is absolutely WRONG about gluten and clarity, hell I need a beer! ph Medlin D.C.
