Guest guest
Anyone have some advice on figuring the ideal length of distillation columns and condensers? Or is even important on such a small scale? The two books I have are from the state's chemical engineering library, and they might as well be written in ancient Babylonian!! I think the volume of something is important to figuring the length and set-up of these parts...duh quadratic equations just don't suit me at this time. My set-up is for hyrdosols and essential oils. So far I have decided on 1000ml & 2000ml boiling flasks, a Vigreux column, a Graham condenser (should I get the Allihn too?), and Clevenger trap receiver. iel
