Click here Dear ACA members: I look forward to seeing many of you this week in Washington D.C. at the National Chiropractic Legislative Conference (NCLC) and the ACA House of Delegates Meeting. We have a week full of meetings and events planned. Among the most important objectives for ACA leadership is to develop public health policy and legislative initiatives that will remove many of the artificial barriers our patients face when choosing to access our care. For those who cannot be with us, please take a moment to thank your colleagues from the state associations who are making the trip. We anticipate that more than 500 doctors and students will visit Capitol Hill to help educate our nation's lawmakers about our profession. For more than 100 years, we have watched our profession, even against great odds, grow and strengthen. The millions of patients we see each year rank our care near the top of their list when it comes to patient satisfaction. The concept of providing " natural first " health care is stronger than ever, and the chiropractic profession is the leader of that movement. Our goal in Washington this week is plain and simple: Create a level playing field for all health professions and let the market determine who will succeed. Doctors of chiropractic provide cost-effective, evidence-based, high-quality health care to the citizens of this great country. In the current environment of health care reform, we as a profession have the opportunity to transform and improve the American health care system. To this end, ACA is ensuring that the chiropractic profession is at the table with the decision makers...and not on the menu.I look forward to meeting many more of you in my travels to your state meetings. And remember, even if you can't be in Washington this week, you can still do your part to advance this great profession by signing up your patients to ChiroVoice--our nationwide grass roots advocacy campaign. As a member of ChiroVoice, your patients receive a free monthly newsletter with health tips and information on how they can contact their members of Congress in support of pro-chiropractic legislation. Membership in ChiroVoice is free...and it helps us help patients! Thank you for supporting the ACA!
