Hi People

I'm again having problems refilling my 2 anti-rejection meds

and I'm a very very unhappy camper.

I'm serious, God forgive me I hate HMO's but

it's the cheapest way for me and heads will roll again.

The 1 authorization from my TP Dr was suppose to

be unlimited no expiration date for my med refills as long term maintenance

meds for life.

Nope Tenet denied the refills.

My Dr is still traveling to Baton Rouge on a part

time bases not in today and no staff in full time. I have no idea

when they will return to Baton Rouge and he is not on general call.

Yep I explained it all to Tenet but people insured

by them calling in can not talk to the pharmacy dept and I'm explaining

everything to the person on the phone who puts me on hold calls into the

pharmacy dept tells them my answers and than she comes back and

relays their info and answers to me.

Yep we have gone round for round with it

all and each time I tell here my info I get wait I need to put you on

hold tell that to the pharmacy dept and get back to you.

We got to the point where I advised them I can't

wait on this and don't know when my Dr and staff will be in again they are

still relocated out of town on a part-time bases because of Katrina and if my

meds aren't refilled I hold Tenet responsible for my outcome.

Got put back on hold !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok we will approve the refills from your PCP

but he must fill out and fax in another authorization for maintenance meds and

for the refills since he is your PCP and in charge of your medical care.

NO he is not and signed over my medical care and

follow-up to my TP Team and Hep Dr because of the need of their specialties

with Tenet's approval 5 freaking years ago and I only needed the original

authorization for these meds which I have now taken non-stop for over 5

years now.

Wait I don't understand that and need to put

you back on hold.

Yep I'm on hold listening to elevator music and

cussing up a storm.

OK we can take the med authorizations for refills

from your PCP.

........ and how long will it take Tenet to

authorize Walgreen's to refill my Rx's once Tenet has the authorization from my

Dr ????

Ohhhhh don't know but it shouldn't take to long.

Good thing I have 5 days of meds stockpiled

that they don't know about.

People this is not for authorization of new Rx's

but for refills on anti-rejection meds that keep me alive and do not need

another authorization to refill it.
