I got short shrift....and told in no uncertain terms (and a lot of encouragement) to " Get Blending " . >>>>>> " It sounds nice " she said, " make another batch and send me a sample so I can let you have an evaluation. " Whoops.....! >>>>>>>>>> I didn't make ANY notes at all. None! >>>> LLx Liz....... it is very easy to get carried away with the moment and forget to write down..... let it become second nature..... I do nothing without my book. It holds recipes formulas and the suppliers and their batch numbers and how much it cost me to make....... any % dilutions and notes ... My book is nearly full and I will need another soon. I also have two others.... and I am extremely drawn to some of the delightful helps advertised. But I am a creature of pen and paper and do like the tactile quality of this and reference point.... I do like the computer too now. I am so glad Anya persuaded you to continue...... don't be discouraged. Think it out in your head as you say you know your oils .... think about where they lie.....how tenaceous they are what you want to be dominent or seamless...who are friends with whom ..... what may counterbalance something..... if you think it isn't working ...... leave it !! Come back to it in a few days or weeks and analyse it and you may just add something that turns it around or something that will move it along........ As per alcohol...... dogged determination. You can't imagine the times I have trouble with this and from the same company!......I was just looking through some clippings and came accross an interview I did with Pure magazine in October/November 2000 here is an excerpt from this........ " Thinking of alcohol, I wonder if I am any nearer to obtaining an elusive natural alcohol. I am still waiting for Rose to reply and she is waiting for Customs and Excise to get back to her. I am hanging on in the hopes that I shan't need to order any more of the other stuff but I am desperately low and I must start compounding in the next couple of weeks " I did manage to get some organic alcohol based on sugar beet after a long journey on the train to plead my case....... and then had to do it over again a few years later and just recently again which took me from before christmas to april this year to sort out...... It just does your head in. ....... So nothings Changed & :-( and that was seven years ago!! . I think half the trouble is the added duty . Because people like you and I have to pay duty....... the supplier has to return that duty at the end of their financial year and has to make a separate entry in their records which I think can be a bit of a fag for some..... Plus....the cost of it..... It is frightening ..... I bought 3 litres...... and it has cost me over £100 !!!! It is small wonder that we are turning to making our own! ... If you contact me offline..... I will send you a sample for you to try if nothing else.... or perhaps we can skype or talk ..... it would be good to talk to another NP here in the UK .... we have isabelle here and of course ruth in ireland..... anyone else here in the UK .... can you chime in? It would be good to ascertain how many of us are here. As for your creation it sounded lovely..... See if you can re-create it..... and this time write down every drop.... I can remember scolding about the same thing LOL....... it is easily done tho..... so the same to you slapped wrists with a feather......x & :-) Janita Fingerprint Natural Perfume http://www.janita'sattars.blogspot.com --------------------------------- is the world's favourite email.
