So I went to dinner with a friend, had a few drinks and when I got home I had discovered that my cyst had broken down (finally) and that always brings some relief. It was a mess, yeah... but I feel better. I had a slight fever during the day today so I dunno if maybe it's related (never noticed that before but in the HS community we're noticing it more often than not, fever and fatigue during the flare ups. Now comes the fun part... trying in some way to possibly dress my wound - which - on the armpit is a very tricky thing! I volunteer at dermatology camps in the summer for kids with severe skin diseases - and some of the kids and counselors there need to be wrapped from head to toe (Epidermolysis Bullosa - research it, it's a horrible disease and makes my stuff look like diddly squat) and they have shown me some stuff that I can use to wrap with but its super expensive and hard to come by.

I know I should keep it covered to prevent infection, but at the same time (gross) it has to keep draining or it will get plugged again... so I cant wrap it tight, and honestly, sanitary pads are the best! Cuz they absorb a lot. Also when I sleep, crap will get all over the place and on my clothes during the day which is so much fun.

I have a dental appointment (sigh) in the early afternoon so I'm off to bed. Just thought I'd update and thanks for reading!

Love, Lexi

*wishing you all a pain-free day!*
