I posted this on another site in response to the argument that all

farmers need to stick together because a few radicals want to

eliminate us. I will not support grotesque farming practices and sit

idly by so the offenders can continue.

As a farmer, it is so exciting to see the effort and sacrifice many

go to for real food and for supporting those of us that put forth the

effort to produce the highest quality food possible.

Thank You,

Cheyenne

I think a big part of those opposed to farming are actually opposed

to the grotesque concentration camp animal factories and poison

agriculture. I've read responses from some that went from vegan and

opposing ag to supporting true farming once they learned about it.

We are not all in this together, you can't meld local, organic,

grassfed with industrial, CAFO, and poison. They like to spew the lie

that we should stand up for their right to torture animals and kill us

all with poisons and hormones or we'll all disappear. All we have to

do is shine the spotlight of truth on them and let consumers decide.

They depend on the rest of us keeping silent.

Modern industrial ag has relied on keeping the consumer in the dark.

Did you ever see the Oprah episode where she exposed the hideous

practice of feeding cows to cows? Everyone was repulsed, as they

should be, but the cattlemen were mad at Oprah and consumer advocacy

groups for exposing them. How does a farmer get so depraved as to feed

things like meat and blood or chicken crap or cats and dogs, or....

The same applies to poisoning everything with chemicals and

hormones. What gives anyone the right to contaminate the rest of our

water, soil, and air? Who in their right mind would use the poisons

from the Devils pantry, as Walters would say? How many

children have to suffer and die from the chemicals?

I just had the displeasure of driving across IL, and IN. What a

pathetic site, nothing but corn from one end to the other. Empty barns

everywhere that once housed livestock, and missing families that lived

on the land and had meaning and purpose. Now, just a bunch of mindless

serfs working for Monsanto and their ilk poisoning and polluting

everything. This is supposed to be " modern ag " LOL!!! How can I

support that in any way?

I say it's them that have to prove their worth. Factor in the

environmental costs of all the fuel, poison, fertilizer, trucking

animals and grain back and forth to huge feedlots and slaughter

plants, etc, etc. The system is broke.

Suing farmers ends up being the only option left for concerned

citizens as the chemical industry reps that control the FDA, EPA,

state gov., etc. will continue to allow such vile practices in the

name of " science " . I heard a program on WPR last year that there are

over 700 conflicts of interest in the FDA alone!!!! Change will NOT

come from any gov. agency but by farmers and consumers that have not

given up the ability to think, and care enough about future

generations to produce real clean food in an environmentally

sustainable manner.

We will see the country side filled with small farms of every sort

as this industrial ag paradigm crashes and burns all around us. Keep

up the good work and inform everyone you can of the importance of the

choices they make when buying food.
